WINTER 2009
"We were a large group – 4 adults and 5 children, and we had plenty of room in this beautiful chalet. The playroom in the basement was a real asset. There was plenty of comfortable, easy living space with a very well equipped kitchen. It was a real pleasure to return to the chalet after a busy day on the slopes knowing that everything was there for our convenience.
St Martin de Belleville is charming, and has a good range of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a small but well equipped supermarket. We would drive the 3 minutes to the car park right by the lifts in the morning, as this was by far the easiest option with children, but it is a perfectly manageable gentle climb in the evening for a meal out! We had a very positive experience with ski school, as both our children aged 6 and 3 were new to skiing and Club Piu Piu was extremely welcoming to our youngest.
We had a thoroughly fantastic time, and would recommend the chalet to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing chalet experience."

“As a group of lady skiers we are always looking for comfort and style, to go alongside some great skiing!
We found Chalet Ancolies to be all that we wanted and more. We went to Le Montagne restaurant to give us a break from cooking at home- which was great, however it was lovely to be back at the chalet at the end of a hard days skiing. I would highly recommend staying here and shall be returning both with my family, and with the girls!”

“Lovely spacious chalet that’s beautifully appointed, with all the conveniences you could look for. Spacious garage means no window scraping in the morning!! St Martin is easily accessed with good parking near the lift station and then the whole 3 valleys is quickly reached. The town is only a short walk from the chalet thus avoiding the need for a driver in the evenings. The living accommodation is so easy to use as a home from home that you really don’t want to go out. The log fire works a dream and is an extra special treat”

"We had an absolutely brilliant time and the experience gets our "two thumbs up" rating for anyone looking to go there.
The chalet was exceptionally spacious (we were a group of 6 and lived very comfortably) and modern. All amenities one could expect (TV, internet, dishwasher, washing machine etc) to make the stay very pleasurable. Interior is very new and fresh with a fire place as the centre piece in the lounge area for great evenings spent indoors. While we had no children in our group, the chalet set-up is ideal for families as well. In addition, on-site assistance is available (Mark & Kate) adding a great touch of service.
The village (10min walk or 3min car drive from the chalet) is among the smaller villages within the "Courchevel" ski area. Nevertheless, it has several restaurants, bars and shops to cater for everyday needs. Ski lifts (and ski rental) in the village are easily accessible. Skiing or driving to the other valleys (Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens) is straightforward and offers wonderful scenic experiences as well as expands the overall experience to beyond just St Martin.

"St Martin de Belleville is a beautiful village & caters deceptively well for skiers (all levels) & non skiers alike. For the family to spend Christmas there was a real treat. Chalet Ancolies is very welcoming, spacious, has all the mod-cons/equipment you’d need for a comfortable stay & having Kate & Mark on-site was a real bonus to get friendly help & advice during our stay when we needed it. The downhill walk back from the village to the chalet is very pleasant (even more so after a couple of Vin Chaud’s in one of the local bars!), & a torch is advisable should you be walking back home in the dark!! Thanks for making Christmas’08 special!"
