Local Information
ST MARTIN DE BELLEVILLE
At an altitude of 1450 m, Saint Martin de Belleville is a real postcard Savoyard village. Set within the fabulous Trois Vallées ski area (600 km, 180 ski lifts) it is a real village resort, dedicated to lovers of authenticity, but with all the access facilities, infrastructure and shops expected of an up-to-date winter sports resort.
It has everything you need in a ski resort - a selection of good ski & board hire shops, ski school, excellent child minding / creche facilities, and a choice of great aprés-ski bars and restaurants. There is also a supermarket, boulangerie / patisserie, butcher, bank, chemist, post office, and newsagent / tabac.
The excellent restaurants in St Martin have made it a favourite lunchtime stop for skiers based in the other Trois Vallées resorts and one of the highlights of St Martin is the last run home at the end of the day – you can be sure that the slopes will be quiet, peaceful, and in much better condition than runs back to any of the other resorts.
Recent investment has seen a modern 8 person telecabine linking to a fast 4 person chair – St Martin 1 & 2, taking you to an altitude of 2,400m in under 20 minutes. In fact there’s nowhere in the whole 2,500 hectares you can’t reach inside two hours.
